Refund policy
On Point Moto – Returns Policy
1. Returning Online Orders
For goods purchased online or otherwise under a distance contract, consumers generally have a statutory right to cancel their order within 14 calendar days of receiving the goods.
If you wish to exercise this right, you must notify us within the applicable cancellation period. You will then generally have a further 14 days to return the goods.
You do not need to provide a reason for cancelling.
This statutory cancellation right does not generally apply to purchases made in person at our premises simply because you have changed your mind.
2. Condition of Returned Goods
Goods should be returned in a condition that allows their nature, characteristics and functionality to be assessed.
Customers are entitled to handle goods to the extent reasonably necessary to inspect them, in the same way they would reasonably be able to inspect them in a shop.
If goods have been fitted, used, altered or handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them and this has reduced their value, we may make an appropriate deduction from the refund where permitted by law.
Where possible, goods should be returned with their original packaging, accessories, instructions and other items supplied with the product.
3. Return Postage
Unless an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, the customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning goods when exercising their statutory cancellation rights.
We recommend using a tracked delivery service and retaining proof of postage.
4. Motorcycle Parts
If you are unsure whether a part is suitable for your motorcycle, please contact us before fitting it.
A part that has been fitted or used may have reduced value. Where permitted by law, we may take this into account when processing a change-of-mind return.
This does not affect your statutory rights where a part is faulty, incorrectly supplied or not as described.
5. Electrical Components
Electrical components should not be fitted where compatibility is uncertain.
Fitting an electrical component does not automatically remove a customer's statutory rights.
Where an electrical component is faulty, incorrectly supplied or not as described, we will deal with the matter in accordance with applicable consumer law.
6. Tyres, Tubes & Consumables
Tyres, inner tubes and similar products should be returned unused and unfitted when exercising statutory cancellation rights.
Certain sealed products may be excluded from cancellation rights once unsealed where a statutory exception applies.
Faulty or incorrectly supplied goods remain subject to the customer's statutory rights.
7. Clothing, Helmets & Protective Equipment
Clothing and riding equipment should be returned clean, unworn and in a condition suitable for resale, except where reasonable handling is necessary to inspect the product.
Helmets and other protective equipment should not be used for riding if they are intended to be returned under a change-of-mind cancellation.
Goods that have been damaged, marked or used beyond what is reasonably necessary for inspection may be subject to a reduction in refund where permitted by law.
8. Special-Order & Customised Goods
Some goods made to a customer's specifications or clearly personalised may fall within a statutory exception to the right to cancel.
Where such an exception applies, this will be explained to the customer before the order is placed where required.
This does not affect statutory rights relating to faulty, incorrectly supplied or misdescribed goods.
9. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Goods
If you receive an item that is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible.
Please provide your order number and, where appropriate, photographs or other information that may help us identify the issue.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply.
Depending on the circumstances, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
Where goods are confirmed to be faulty, incorrectly supplied or not as described, On Point Moto will cover reasonable return costs where appropriate.
10. Refunds
Where you exercise a statutory right to cancel, we will process your refund in accordance with applicable law.
We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or you have provided evidence that they have been returned, whichever occurs first.
Refunds will normally be made using the original payment method.
Where applicable, the refund will include the cost of our cheapest standard delivery option. Additional delivery costs selected by the customer are not required to be refunded.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits your statutory consumer rights.
